Jaime is the Founder, Sole Director, and General Manager of Scope Equipment Hire, a business he established in December 2014 after more than 20 years working across the hire and pumping industries. With a deep understanding of the operational demands of the Bowen Basin, Jaime built Scope Equipment Hire from the ground up, transforming it from a small start-up into a trusted supplier supporting major coal operators across the region.
Under his leadership, Scope Equipment Hire has grown into a team of 15 skilled professionals known for reliability, responsiveness, and technical capability. Jaime’s hands-on approach, industry knowledge, and commitment to service excellence have been central to the company’s reputation and continued expansion.
As Director and General Manager, Jaime oversees strategic direction, operational performance, and client relationships, ensuring Scope Equipment Hire continues to deliver safe, efficient, and fit-for-purpose solutions to the mining sector. His long-standing experience, combined with a strong focus on people and quality, remains the driving force behind the company’s success.

Operations Manager
Jake is Scope Hire’s Operations Manager and the person who keeps the day-to-day running of the business on track.
With 18 years of experience across water management and mining, and a trade background as a mechanic, Jake has a thorough understanding of everything we do, from pump overhauls and repairs to dredging operations and controller programming.
He has worked across multiple areas of the business over more than five years with Scope Equipment Hire, building the kind of practical knowledge that makes him an invaluable part of the team.
Jake stepped into the Operations Manager role 18 months ago and also covers for Jaime when he is away.
Heath joined Scope Equipment Hire in July 2024, bringing with him a strong background in business development, sales and client relationship management.
Before joining us, Heath was a part-owner and BDM of a large business group that he helped build from a small auto electrical outlet into a significant operation. After selling his share, his natural drive led him to reach out to Scope Equipment Hire in search of a new challenge.
Since coming on board as a subcontractor, Heath has applied his exceptional negotiation skills and commercial instincts to bring in new clients and support the continued growth of the business.

Stean manages the workshop and everything that goes with it, from parts ordering and job coordination through to site communications and delivery timelines.
As Project Manager, he is the person who keeps things on track and ensures every job is executed to the standard Scope Equipment Hire is known for.
Backed by more than 15 years of experience in water management and mining, including pump crew operations, maintenance planning and repair scheduling, Stean brings the kind of practical knowledge that makes a real difference on the job.
He has been with Scope Equipment Hire for 18 months and is already a cornerstone of the operations team.
Kim manages the financial and administrative backbone of Scope Equipment Hire, handling accounts receivable, BMA contract administration, labour allocation from timesheets and invoice preparation.
With more than 15 years of experience across water management and mining, Kim brings a broad skill set that spans parts ordering, contract management, invoicing, payroll, debt collection and logistics.
Her ability to manage multiple moving parts with accuracy and efficiency makes her an essential part of how the business runs day to day.
Kim joined the Scope Equipment Hire team nine months ago and has settled into the role seamlessly.

Joining Scope Equipment Hire in 2026, Lester brings more than 40 years of fabrication expertise to the team — a level of skill and experience that is rare to find. His background spans complex builds, custom fabrication, and high-precision work, giving him a unique ability to tackle challenges with confidence and clarity. Lester’s commitment to quality is evident in everything he does, and his influence has already strengthened the standards and capabilities of our workshop. His leadership, craftsmanship, and depth of knowledge are a major part of what sets our Fabrication Workshop apart and drives it forward.
Yasmine manages spare parts sales and procurement at Scope Equipment Hire, bringing a genuine passion for her work and a strong background in parts interpretation.
Having completed her apprenticeship as a Parts Interpreter in 2020, Yasmine has developed solid experience sourcing parts across all types of engines and pumps.
She is new to the Scope Equipment Hire team but has already made her presence felt, approaching every client interaction with the kind of enthusiasm and commitment to customer service that makes a real difference.
